|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"The human nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures the human for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and mild. While its energy field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Chemical composition: Sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI[Si2 O6], often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Generally contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Basically the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions, playing a crucial role in all stages of human development, from youth to adulthood and old age. It is an indispensable macromineral for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is essential for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and regulating blood sugar. The body cannot synthesize it independently and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity; for those who are overweight, it aids in controlling cholesterol and blood sugar; for individuals under high stress, chromium is lost at a faster rate, making these three groups particularly in need.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. An adult's body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed nickel mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a nutrient necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both playing complementary roles. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation in the body and is linked to the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have lower mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements." An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function properly.
Medical research suggests that jadeite possesses significant therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a lasting effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the functions of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five zang organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and improving vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can be in direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The naturally cool property of jadeite provides a therapeutic and cooling sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei was known to hold jade in her mouth during summer to relieve heat, marking a cool summer tradition. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants were used to combat the heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less substantiated, reason is that when feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite provides an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if receiving comfort.
