Handwoven Linen Stole [Aya Hana*05]
Materials: 90% Linen, 10% Silk
Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 9cm fringe)
This medium-sized stole is woven using a Swedish lace-weaving technique with soft, plump French linen. It drapes beautifully with the characteristic weightlessness of linen, settling gently and softly against the body without stiffness or bulk.
The yarn is "top-dyed," meaning the fibers were colored before spinning, creating a melange effect in the navy hue. Lines of tussah silk at both ends enhance the sheer quality of the lace weave and the underlying texture of the fabric.
While linen, as a natural fiber, may have slight neps, this stole is made from fine-count linen, resulting in minimal fiber fuzziness and a characteristic sheen. Linen stoles offer superior absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, providing a dry and refreshing feel against the skin. This makes it a versatile piece suitable for spring, summer, and autumn.
