[Fair Trade, Ethical Products]
This is a plant-dyed cotton scarf (shawl) handwoven by the Karen people of Thailand.
The woven pattern, an arrangement of traditional Karen motifs, creates a beautiful design.
Weaving patterns like these requires significantly more time than ordinary weaving.
From plant-dyeing the cotton threads to weaving and finishing, this is a meticulously crafted piece made with considerable time and effort.
While incorporating classical woven patterns, the ethnic feel is subtle, making it conveniently easy to match with everyday wear.
Simply pairing it with a minimalist style can elevate your outfit with a sense of quality.
It's also a great feature that it can be used for a long period, from autumn through winter and into spring, as a shawl or lap blanket.
Please experience the gentle hues of plant-dyed cotton and the comfortable texture that softens with each use.

*About the product.
We handcraft our products using natural materials. Therefore, weaving, stitching, colors, and patterns are not uniform, unlike mass-produced items.
Furthermore, the dyeing, weaving, embroidery, and sewing techniques of the Karen tribe are passed down traditionally as household crafts rooted in daily life. They differ from professional techniques.
While we strive for accuracy, there may be imperfections compared to mass-produced or professionally made items. We kindly ask for your understanding that these are appreciated as the charm of craftsmanship passed down from mother to child.

[Care for Plant-Dyed and Handwoven Products]
Plant-dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight compared to chemical dyes, and their colors change with use. Please pay attention to the following points when caring for and using them.
Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or moisture. Please be careful of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags. If you wear dark-colored clothing/bags together, color transfer may be less noticeable. Dark colors, in particular, are prone to fading, so we recommend washing them once before wearing.
Also, when washing, we recommend handwashing separately from other clothes. If using a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place it in a net, and wash on a gentle cycle separately from other clothes. However, machine washing may accelerate fabric damage and color fading. Avoid using a dryer and dry in the shade.
- About sizing.
For fabric products, threads may be sized with rice; however, the size will typically wash out after about two washes.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us!
