Black is a color I have always loved to use in my designs. It is quiet, yet it never needs to hide behind other colors. For this piece, I chose 8mm ebony wood, featuring a 108-bead long strand as the core. Compared to the delicacy of 6mm beads, the 8mm size offers a more substantial feel, and the deep hue of the ebony wood gives the entire piece a sharper, more refined aesthetic. It features a Dzi guru bead, where black, white, and gold tones intertwine, with Dzi bead accents interspersed among the 108 ebony beads. I chose not to cluster all the accents on the front, but instead left small details scattered throughout. As a result, when worn as a long necklace, the Dzi beads that occasionally reveal themselves as the strand turns become delightful little surprises. The Dzi guru bead at the front incorporates geometric shapes and a hanging design, adding a touch of luxury and personality to the naturally calm temperament of the ebony wood. The decorative element at the back also features a detachable clasp. It can be removed or switched, letting you decide whether to keep the accessory on or take it off, depending on the look you want for the day. 108 beads do not have to be worn in just one way. Wear it long, and it becomes a substantial statement necklace; wrap it around your wrist, and it transforms into a beautifully layered multi-wrap bracelet. What I want to convey is not merely the "108" format itself, but rather the idea of making it a genuine part of your daily wardrobe.
