About the Ware • Handmade, each piece is unique due to variations in clay, glaze, firing temperature, and firing methods. • Due to the numerous variables in the firing process, slight deformation around the rim may occur, which is a normal phenomenon. • All glazes are applied by hand, resulting in uneven thickness and unique effects for each piece. • Small pinholes, air bubbles, or particles may occasionally appear on the glaze surface; these are not considered defects and cannot be a reason for return or exchange. • If the glaze features a crackle effect, fine cracks will appear. Storing deeply colored foods may lead to staining, which is also a characteristic of the glaze's expression. ⸻ About the Fine Cracks • Also known as "glaze cracks" or "ice cracks," these occur because the ceramic body and glaze have different shrinkage rates. The cracks are only in the glaze layer; the body itself is flawless. • Some cracks may appear within a week after firing, while others may only become visible over years.
