|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"The human nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures the human for a lifetime."
Crystals possess strong energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and smooth in nature. While its energy field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial effects and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green but rarer.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with presence also in blood and muscles. Calcium is a crucial regulator of bodily activities throughout all life stages, from youth to adulthood and old age, fulfilling vital physiological functions. It is an indispensable macronutrient for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with Type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. It is beneficial for overweight individuals in managing cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Those under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly necessary for these groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adults typically contain 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed portions excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another class of trace elements that protect the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macronutrient essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is associated with the onset of various chronic conditions, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have lower mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it an essential trace element. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses significant healing capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" (Dragon's Cavity) and "Shen Fu" (Spirit Mansion) acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, can achieve a root-cause effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the functions of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can directly contact the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling down: Jadeite's naturally cool property is therapeutic and soothing, offering relief from heat. In the Tang Dynasty, Consort Yang would hold jade in her mouth to cool down during summer. Since then, summer has become a time of cool respite. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants all serve to alleviate summer heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for appreciating jadeite. Another, less evidence-based reason, is its inexplicable mood-healing effect when feeling down or stressed, offering a sense of comfort.
