[About the Designer] We are an original design studio specializing in jade carving. The core creators are a couple born in the 1990s, members of the Fujian Provincial Gemstone Association. They graduated from the Xiamen Academy of Arts and Crafts, Fuzhou University. United by a shared passion for artistic carving and similar life philosophies, they embarked on creating what they love. Having studied art and painting since childhood, they possess unique insights and design characteristics in jade carving, gradually forming their distinct style. Over the years, they have received numerous awards in competitions such as the "Shen Gong Award" and the "Yu Long Cup." What is Yellow Wax Stone? Yellow Wax Stone, a type of silicified andesite or sandstone, gets its name from the waxy texture and color of its surface. The main component of Yellow Wax Stone is quartz, with an oily, waxy surface layer formed by low-temperature melt. It is tough, with a hardness of 6.5-7.5. Yellow Wax Stone is a widely popular stone in the Lingnan region's stone appreciation circles. Among traditional viewing stones, it is one of the hardest and densest in texture. Larger specimens are considered among the four great garden stones, though their texture can be slightly rough. Smaller pieces rival the renowned Tianhuang stone (the king of seal stones) in smoothness and fineness, surpassing jade in quality. With prolonged handling, its patina becomes lustrous and rich, imbuing it with spiritual energy, making it an excellent stone for appreciation.
