DAPENG BAY: 3952 Old Mountain Goat - Named after a famous Taiwanese scenic spot, this is a special edition for grand writing. It features a crystal-clear natural mother-of-pearl shell, akin to white jade, meticulously cut and pieced together to align the natural grain as much as possible. Each shell piece possesses its own unique natural patterns and colors. After manual polishing, they are adhered to a brass tube and coated with a thick layer of transparent lacquer. While the seams are visible, they are imperceptible to the touch. The natural patterns are breathtakingly beautiful and captivating (natural patterns, high-quality random shipment). The pen is complemented by accessories crafted from original brass, finished with a gunmetal chrome plating. It features a rotating airtight cap and a specially designed flexible clip.
The nib is a German Bock #250 (#6) rose gold steel nib, expertly handcrafted by Old Mountain Goat artisans into a calligraphy nib capable of producing distinct thick and thin strokes, reminiscent of a brush pen. It offers a responsive writing experience, allowing for varied line widths ideal for Chinese characters and expressing your unique taste.
**Gift Set Includes: German SCHMIDT K2 Converter (ink not included) + One handcrafted black genuine leather pen sleeve by a Taiwanese master craftsman (style shipped randomly) + 3952 Old Mountain Goat premium gift box packaging.**
Dimensions: Barrel diameter 14.5mm, capped length 144mm, barrel including nib 127mm, cap diameter 14.5mm, length 64mm, total weight approximately 47g, overall length 150mm.
Hand-adjusted Calligraphy Nib:
1. For calligraphy nibs, it is generally recommended to first dip the nib in ink and allow it to break in for a period before using a converter.
2. If the converter causes ink to skip, check the angle at which you hold the nib. Both iridium points should simultaneously touch the paper; avoid writing on one side. If skipping persists, check if paper fibers or debris are caught on the nib.
3. Remove the converter and try filling the pen directly with ink.
4. Rinse the nib. If you write with one iridium point consistently higher than the other, or apply excessive pressure, it can cause misalignment of the iridium points, leading to scratching and paper debris accumulation in the slit.
5. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib adjusted to have a curvature. Line variation is achieved not by pressing down, but by the angle of the pen, utilizing the nib's curvature to create different line widths. Holding the pen more upright reduces the contact area with the paper, resulting in finer lines. The more the pen is tilted, the larger the contact area, producing thicker lines. The ability to write thick or thin lines depends on your proficiency and skill.
In response to environmental protection, we do not proactively provide paper bags. If you require one for gifting, please specify this in the order notes after placing your order. Thank you.
Images are for reference only. The product is a single pen. Some photos may have slight color variations due to lighting and angles; please refer to the actual product.
Note: Regularly wipe and maintain the pen body and cap interior. When at rest, do not store the pen with the nib facing downwards for extended periods.
Warm Reminder: When writing, avoid pressing down on the nib or writing consistently on one side (for right-handed users, it is recommended to hold the nib pointing towards the 10 or 11 o'clock position). This prevents accidental misalignment of the iridium points, which can cause scratching and ink skipping. The nib should be rinsed with clean water regularly to prevent ink blockage and maintain writing quality.
Enjoy the pleasure of writing yourself and share it with friends and family. A practical and elegant gift choice!
