Laurel Burch is an American artist and designer whose works are mostly inspired by nature. She began painting in the late 1960s and received commissions from corporations and private collectors. In 1969, she started making jewelry and sold it on the streets of San Francisco with a simple booth. She met Cloisonne while traveling in China in 1971, and she began to use this enamel technique to design and make her earrings.
