Rinse with cold water immediately after use to wash away surface blood stains. 2. Apply hand wash liquid, baking soda, or a gentle detergent to the stained area and soak for over three hours. Ensure the water level is slightly above the pad. 3. Once blood stains are removed, wash gently with detergent and hang to dry (in a well-ventilated area like a bathroom or indoors; occasional sun drying can help sterilize). Ensure it is completely dry before storing. 4. Soaking again with baking soda or sodium percarbonate can remove the yellowing and does not affect usability. • For leak-proof models, avoid wringing them dry. Instead, gently press out excess water with a towel and then hang to dry to extend their lifespan.
