Fukurokujyu, a rare plant. Tsukubai, Fukujubotan (ツワブキ、福寿牡丹) A variety of Tsukubai with a coarse leaf texture (羅紗葉). Possesses a wabi-sabi beauty, a special variety of mountain chrysanthemum. It blooms with striking yellow flowers even in winter. New leaves resemble common Farfugium. After 3+ years, the leaves of mature plants gradually develop fasciation, resembling a green peony. This is also the origin of its name. The leaves are thick and three-dimensional, with slow growth and replacement.
