Vintage English bone china teacup and saucer from the Lavender Rose series made by Royal Albert.
Thomas C. Wild bought the Albert Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1895. This factory had been named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Consort. It specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs, and it soon gained a reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets, firmly establishing the Royal Albert name.
The Lavender Rose design was introduced in 1961 and produced up until 2009. The backstamp style was in use in the 1960s and 1970s. It features a Montrose style cup and scalloped saucer.
This set is in undamaged, good condition. There is a little wear only on the gold tones of both the cup and the saucer. The saucer has some slight surface marks on the glaze. The photographs are a part of the description.
cup: 9cm diameter x 7cm height (not incl. handle)
