Therefore, __regular purification of crystals is essential__. It's recommended to establish a habit of purifying your crystals periodically, for instance, on the 1st of every month or during the full moon (the 15th day of the lunar calendar). There are numerous methods for purifying crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water. For this reason, Joyce personally doesn't highly recommend this method. If you have white/amethyst chips, a geode, or a cluster, you can place your pendulum in or on them when not in use. Of course, the chips, geodes, or clusters used for purification should also be purified regularly, perhaps through sunlight or moonlight exposure. Joyce finds __smoke purification__ to be the most effective method! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and then __use the smoke to purify the crystal__.
