A Talong amulet unearthed from a Burmese pagoda. Year of origin unknown. Estimated to be from the late 19th to early 20th century. Weighs 39.06g. Bi-metal alloy composition. The main body is cast from a blend of silver, tin, and other alloys, encasing a brass alloy amulet bead through fusion and inlay... Amulets featuring eye totems are rare. Those with eyes and a bi-metal alloy composition are even rarer. They are also the most expensive among metal amulets. Some of these amulets were crafted with internal cavities during the casting process, designed to hold even smaller amulet beads... some create a subtle rattle when shaken. Dealers refer to these as "loaded with treasures." A hole has been drilled by our workshop. It can be strung with a cord to be worn as a bracelet or pendant.
