The design inspiration for the π (pi) bookmark comes from a crop circle that appeared near Barbury Castle in Wiltshire, England, in 2008. This crop circle featured a progression of steps at specific intervals. Astrophysicist Michael Glickman noticed that a small dot near the center of the pattern represented the decimal point in mathematics. Furthermore, based on how the steps were divided, it became apparent that the crop circle was secretly divided into ten equal parts. Each step represented a number. For example, from the center to the first step, there were three divisions, representing 3. Between the first and second steps, there was only one division, representing 1. Following this logic, the entire numerical sequence derived was 3.141592654, which is π. While the pattern resembles a typical geometric shape, it secretly carries a message.
