Exposure to rain, sweat, and air can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, to maintain its original luster, please keep the following in mind: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a ziplock bag when not being worn. If the luster fades, here are a few simple methods to restore your item's original shine. Please note that while color can be restored, a worn surface may not regain its original high gloss (the matte, antique bronze finish is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and brush gently, as if brushing teeth, to restore brass's luster. Ensure the item is dried thoroughly after cleaning. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine restoration (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, immerse the brass accessory for about 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its shine (not suitable for natural beads like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
