The "Leafy Love Series" draws inspiration from nature, using various leaves as sculptural references. The artist painstakingly hammers each vein and texture into existence. Afterward, in a dust-free environment, a "natural cashew lacquer" is applied. This process is done only once a day, waiting until the next day for the lacquer to dry completely before applying the next coat. With over five layers required, and each layer needing a full day to dry, the creation process spans 5-6 working days, involving intricate and time-consuming craftsmanship. Through these creations, the artist wishes to convey a message of mindful observation of our surroundings. From the humble roadside flowers and grasses to fallen leaves, all living things express their existence, silently or audibly, in their own way.
