The Story Behind Selling Zisha Teapots:
Zisha teapots boast a long, rich heritage as tea brewing vessels, cherished by scholars and connoisseurs since ancient times. Their unique production process, distinct from other ceramics, imbues each teapot with its own character.
Furthermore, the unglazed nature of Zisha teapots transforms the act of "nurturing" them into an engaging ritual. This characteristic, where the teapot becomes more beautiful with use, is a primary reason for its enduring appeal.
Recently, influenced by various factors, a trend of tea appreciation has emerged among young people in Taiwan. Owning a Zisha teapot of excellent clay and craftsmanship has become a desire for many consumers.
However, the opaque product information and prevalence of counterfeit or inferior goods in the Zisha teapot market have long deterred many consumers from making a purchase.
Our studio, now approaching its second year of operation, frequently engages with regular customers. They too have expressed confusion over the chaotic Zisha market, hoping that our expertise in ceramics could help them select high-quality, practical Zisha teapots.
We wish to express our gratitude for your long-standing support and trust. However, as the saying goes, "different trades require different skills." While Zisha teapots are ceramics, they are not our primary area of expertise. For this reason, we have not directly addressed such inquiries until now, though it has prompted us to delve deeper into the knowledge surrounding Zisha teapots.
Fortunately, through various channels, we connected with a friend who trades Zisha teapots locally in Yixing. After half a year of communication and learning, we finally found common ground in our philosophies. Before collaborating, we personally purchased and used several teapots to ensure they met our standards for craftsmanship and materials. Only when they align with our criteria do we recommend them to our consumers.
The Zisha teapots we sell adhere to four principles:
1. Crafted using traditional Zisha teapot techniques.
2. Using raw materials free from chemical additives.
3. Accurately representing the clay type.
4. Truthfully stating the potter's title.
Each Zisha teapot is accompanied by a magnified image of the clay at 200x magnification, allowing customers to clearly see the true appearance and texture of the Zisha. Only by rigorously examining our products can we confidently offer them to you. If you require the original high-resolution microscopic images, please feel free to message us after your purchase!
→ Purchase Notes
* Most products in this design hall are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash deposit on each piece will vary. This is part of the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and an identical piece cannot be found. If a piece you like is purchased by someone else, we regret that you will need to choose another item from our design hall. We apologize for any inconvenience. Alternatively, you may contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
* Capacity is measured by hand and may have slight variations.
* Works may exhibit some marks from the crafting process, as all pieces are handmade or semi-handmade. Some operational traces are to be expected.
* During the firing process, kiln ash may distribute naturally. This is entirely normal and emphasizes what Nature Glaze highlights: ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please message us.
* Product images are taken in a studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but no post-production editing is used. Please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as variations will not be considered defects.
