1890 German deep sea creature illustration

Product Description

The lithographed rough is said to have been produced only in Solen hofen in southern Germany, and this printing was invented in 1798 by the Austrian composer Alois Senefelder (1771~1834), which is the origin of lithography. Since the printing method is quite labor-intensive, once the printing is finished, the original painting has to be redrawn once and then re-rendered, so it was later eliminated by the printing industry! Therefore, each printed pattern is meticulously hand-painted. To date, every piece of printed matter has its value equivalent to that of a work of art, although such a technique has been eliminated by the printing industry! But let the printmakers keep it! There are still some printmakers who use this type of printing to print their own works. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47612742712_ebb8ea1b14_o.jpg *Out of print deep sea creature illustrations * Printmaker: P.
