Vintage Table Lamp Glass Leaves and Brass by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors 1970s

This sculptural Hollywood regency style table lamp was designed by Carl Fagerlund for the Swedish glasswork company Orrefors Lighting in the 1960s. The lamp is made of shiny brass frame with five frosted and textured glass acanthus leaves which have a matte frosted relief on the inside and are shiny on the outside that give off a warm light. The brass frame has 5 arms of rectangular section, each of which curves upwards to complete the leaf design. The removable glass shades attach by two decorative brass screws internally to the arm. The frame is finished at the top with a decorative Neoclassical solid brass finial. The 5 lamp holders sit on the arms facing upwards and have decoratice bulbous shape brass tube covers. Each sculptural clear glass shade is shaped with a texture pattern as a leaf and has a curved base which rests inset on the brass arm. Carl Fagerlund (1915–2011) was a Swedish designer who worked primarily for the renowned Swedish lighting design and manufacturing company Orrefors Glassworks. He is best known for his glass lamp designs, which were very popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The wiring is in working order. 
 The wiring is suitable for Asia, USA, Canada and Europe.

 In good vintage condition with some traces of time on brass structures, which is normal for the item of this age. The 5 glass leaves are all in very good condition.
