The jadeite displays three naturally contrasting color families. We describe the main green as Misty Green, the darker areas as Dark Ink and the warm brown sections as Autumn Brown. Mountains, pavilions, trees, rocks and flowing scenery are layered across the plaque. The natural darker areas fall naturally into parts of the landscape, while the green tones move through the mountains and architectural details, allowing the jadeite color itself to become part of the composition.
