Bracelet with Old Tibetan Turquoise, Shan Vintage Carnelian, Naga Antique Beads, Old Chin Silver and Orissa Brass

This bracelet is crafted by connecting old Tibetan turquoise, Shan vintage carnelian, sax-blue mixed beads & Venetian beads, and old Chin silver & Orissa brass. The cactus-like green beads are old Tibetan turquoise. These old Tibetan turquoise beads are approximately 100 to 200 years old (possibly even older). They were acquired from someone who personally sourced them in Tibet. Turquoise is also known as a "Fallen Skystone." Since ancient times, it has been revered as a sacred stone in various cultures and is sometimes used medicinally in Tibet. It is one of the stones that has been passed down and worn for thousands of years. Their charming, well-worn green hue and endearing cactus shape are captivating. (Turquoise bead size: 0.9cm width, 0.9cm height, 0.7cm depth) The oval orange beads are carnelian, used by the Shan people (Myanmar). While the exact period is unknown, they are vintage pieces over 50 years old. These small yet alluring beads boast a beautiful gradient. (Vintage carnelian bead size: 1cm height, 0.6cm diameter) The various mixed blue beads used for connecting are old Venetian beads that found their way to the Naga tribe in India. Their color is truly exquisite, and their translucence enhances their charm when held up to the light! White heart beads, lapis lazuli-colored beads, and Canné beads with striped patterns were also included among the blue beads. The vase-shaped components sandwiching the old Tibetan turquoise are made of old Chin silver, believed to be from the 18th-19th century, arriving from Burma. These were used by Chin women for necklaces and exhibit a unique patina and endearing signs of wear. Their substantial feel and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though modern pieces can also be stylish...). These particular beads are rare and quite precious! The golden beads and the anchor-like charm next to the old Tibetan turquoise are old Orissa brass. These are old and rare beads originating from the Orissa region of India. The charm on the clasp is also an old brass component from India. The clasp, with its gently curved hook, and the bead on the ring loop are Karen silver. Each tiny Karen silver bead on the clasp is individually stamped! It's mind-boggling to think of the meticulous handwork involved... ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by the hill tribes residing in Burma. Each piece is handmade, and it is said to have a very high purity. The bracelet is strung on waxed cord, which may feel slightly stiff initially but will become supple with wear.
