Sharing our latest creation, a flame-treated silk Lycoris.
This marks a new chapter in our floral artistry.
We are moving beyond replicating nature's blooms.
Three years ago, a theme began to form in my mind:
"The Lotus Incarnate of Flame."
Inspired by the elegance and spirit of the Calla Lily,
I've infused its essence into the Lycoris.
The stamen's form captures the blooming posture of a lotus,
creating a flower unseen in nature.
Floral artistry is about creation,
and it should possess both
the poet's inspiration and the artisan's precision.
In terms of craftsmanship, flame treatment offers "irreplicability."
The flame is not for "singeing," but for "sculpting."
The flame provides instant high temperatures and flowing heat.
This heat allows silk to develop a memory within 0.5 seconds,
creating petal edges that curl, undulate, and are subtly asymmetrical—
as if "caressed by the wind," much like a real flower.
It is fabric tamed by fire.
Fire becomes a dialogue between the artisan and the material,
demanding intense focus and a deep understanding of floral forms.
