The best protection for silver jewelry is to wear it daily, as the body's natural oils can give sterling silver a warm, lustrous sheen. 2. After wearing, store your jewelry by frequently wiping it with a polishing cloth. It's best to store it sealed and dry to prevent oxidation and darkening from air exposure. 3. Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the jewelry. Do not wear it while bathing in hot springs or swimming (in pools or the sea). 4. Human sweat contains sulfur and ammonia, and the air can also contain substances like hydrogen sulfide and hydrogen monoxide.
