Material Description: The prevalent 14k gold-filled material used by mixandfun features a layer of 1/20 14k gold plated onto a brass base. This is a popular choice in recent years, known for being easier to care for, maintaining its color longer, and being more accessible in price compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely 14k gold throughout, containing approximately 58.5% gold with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, solid 14k gold requires even less maintenance and offers a more refined color. It's also a considerate option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material we frequently use. mixandfun carefully selects unplated chains that we personally love and then applies a special plating process. Under normal wear conditions, the color of these pieces is designed to last. Wearing Precautions: 1. It's recommended to put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. Avoid wearing them while bathing, and it is especially advised against wearing them in hot springs or while swimming. 2. For earrings, we suggest using the provided silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if you plan to store your jewelry for an extended period, gently wipe it with a soft cloth before placing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing them. This helps reduce the likelihood of tangles. 5. Both gold-filled and custom alloy pieces will naturally show signs of wear over time. We appreciate your understanding. 6. A little maintenance tip: If you notice any oxidation on your jewelry, don't panic. You can fill a bowl with some water, add a pinch of salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish. It should regain its shine. (Note: Material compositions may vary slightly between brands.
