“In silence, there is a confusion,
The intellect so despises surrender,
It crafts a key of flame,
To break this lock, this door, this house entire,
But love’s madness had already left,
Leaving nothing, no room, no door, no lock,
Only this shelter descending from heaven,
Which we call Shams.”
Rumi (13th century), the mystic poet, found immense inspiration upon meeting the dervish Shams Tabrizi in his thirty-eighth year. Their unique, ineffable friendship guided him to the pinnacle of mysticism, transforming his enlightenment into countless moving verses.
The two were inseparable until one day Shams vanished without a word (some say he was murdered by jealous individuals around Rumi). Rumi, searching for Shams with longing and sorrow, began to circle pillars in his garden, chanting. This act became the origin of the Mevlevi spiritual practice of the "Sufi whirling dance," a meditation symbolizing discipline and surrender, echoing the celestial dance of stars, atoms, and the rotational essence of the universe itself.
In their dance, the dervishes, lost in their trance, resemble sturdy reeds whirling steadily in the wind. Their right hands reach skyward, their left toward the earth, receiving divine will and blessings to transmit them to humanity (From God we receive, to humanity we give). All whirling dervishes not only spin on their own axis but also revolve together, the entire dance mirroring the cosmic ballet of celestial bodies.
Then, one day on the streets of Damascus, Rumi suddenly realized that Shams existed within this very friendship. He himself *was* this friendship, devoid of separation or union, residing in the silent core—

・Ring face measures 15.5mm in length and 13mm in width. The band is 3mm wide.
Please indicate your ring size (international circumference) or finger circumference in centimeters when ordering.
・How to measure your finger circumference:
You can wrap a long, narrow strip of paper (about 1cm wide) around your finger, mark where it overlaps, and then measure the length of the paper. Alternatively, you can measure a ring you already own or visit a jeweler to have your finger sized.
・Each piece is handmade, so details may vary slightly.
・Care for pure silver jewelry:
925 sterling silver is a soft metal, and normal wear will result in minor scratches. Avoid dropping the item from heights, as this can cause dents. You can wash your hands or come into contact with common cleaning agents (such as dish soap, hand soap, or alcohol) while wearing the jewelry. Remove the jewelry when bathing in hot springs or swimming in a pool to prevent tarnishing and discoloration.
For daily maintenance, simply polish with a silver polishing cloth to restore shine. If storing for an extended period, seal in a resealable plastic bag. Over time, pure silver develops a patina, becoming brighter with wear and exuding a unique character and luster refined by time :)
・All jewelry can be custom-made in 925 sterling silver or brass. Please message us for custom ring orders.
