Firewood Introduction
Firewood burning is one of the traditional kiln techniques. In order to avoid the wood ash generated after burning adhered to the utensils, the solid wood wares were covered with lids to keep the glazed surface perfect. In contrast, today's firewood works are presented with three elements: earth, wood ash, and fire marks. These elements are naturally unpredictable. Compared with the predictability of traditional glazes, the firewood is more elusive.
