An owl made with the technique of Kimekomi dolls. Using Aizu cotton, it is fashionably finished. The stump is colored unglazed pottery. The surface is prepared with whitewash made from shells, a groove is dug, and silk fabric such as Nishijin-ori is glued to the groove to color it.
