In Persian culture, the scarlet flower was considered a symbol of joy and eternal love, and the wild field poppy hinted at the desire for a secret intimate relationship. Buddhists believed that the poppy blossomed after the eyelashes of the sleeping Buddha touched the ground. In China, poppy was associated with beauty, success, relaxation and detachment from the hustle and bustle. Contemporary art, hand painted. A one of a kind work of art.
