【Product Description】 A small wooden stool made using layered vintage kimono fabrics. “Log Cabin” is one of the traditional patchwork quilt patterns, said to represent warmth and gatherings around home and family. The button at the center symbolizes a fireplace, inspired by the image of people gathering together. From design and sewing to woodworking, urethane shaping, and upholstery, every process is completed by hand by a single maker. Different Japanese kimono fabrics are combined to create each piece. The stool is designed not only as functional furniture, but also as an object that quietly changes the atmosphere of a space simply by being placed there. The underside is finished using traditional obi fabric, bringing the texture of Japanese textiles even to the hidden parts of the piece. It can be used beside a reading chair, in an entrance space, or next to plants and lighting as a small interior accent.
