«Dancing raindrops» is a lightweight, allover lace hat. It is great for cool spring mornings or evenings. Hat is worked seamlessly in the round from bottom up with circular needles. Begin by working some rounds in 1x1 Twisted Rib, then the lace pattern allows for a nice drape, and results in a beautiful crown. Skill level intermediate.
YARN:
Shown in Nako Ibiza, 100% Premium Micro Acrylik, 383 yards per 100 g. Yardage ~49g. Any similar yarn can be used.
NEEDLE:
US 1 (2.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) Circular/DPNs for ribbing.
US 3 (3 mm) 16” (40 cm) or 24” (60 cm) Circular/DPNs for lace.
US 3 (3 mm) 32” (80 cm) Circular/DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for crown shaping.
GAUGE:
25 sts x 37 rows = 4” (10 cm) square in St. st. on No3 mm needles after blocking.
MATERIALS:
Waste cotton yarn, crochet hook No4, stitch markers.
SIZES:
One size, adult, head circumference 52-54 cm (US 20 1⁄2 21 1⁄4”).
