This technique enhances silver leaf by applying an aging process to create unique color variations. Silver naturally reacts with sulfur in the air, forming a thin oxidation layer. As this layer develops, light no longer passes through, and the surface appears black. The "Ibushi Series" showcases the gradual transformation of this oxidation process, capturing both the intermediate hues and the deep, matured smoky silver tones. This unique aging process has inspired the Japanese expression "Ibushi Gin", symbolizing understated elegance and depth of character.
