In such cases, use a polishing cloth or a silver polishing cloth for cleaning. Alternatively, wash with a mild detergent after each wear, dry thoroughly, and then store. ▲ How to prevent oxidation and darkening around the crystal holes? The areas around the crystal holes must be regularly dried, and the storage environment should be kept dry. Desiccants can be used (they need to be replaced regularly). If darkening occurs, the interior of the holes can only be cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner or by sending the item back for paid repair and replacement. ▲ Gold-plated / Silver-plated findings Plated findings have a layer of precious metal like gold or silver applied externally. This outer layer can wear down, oxidize, and fade over time. To maintain their luster, try to keep them dry, avoid contact with sweat and chemicals, and wipe them clean after wearing before storing.
