“Fuji Wara Paper” is made using rice straw harvested in autumn from rice grown at the foot of Mount Fuji.
Because the straw can only be obtained during the autumn harvest season, this special paper is produced just once a year. If it becomes unavailable, the next supply may not arrive until the following autumn, making it a somewhat rare and distinctive paper.
