The acquisition brought a profound sense of fulfillment. Camellias are easy to care for, though they grow slowly. Pruning is recommended only once or twice a year to encourage branching. Through multiple stages of shaping and sculpting, the characteristic upward linearity of the trunk develops over the years, necessitating more pronounced changes in shaping. The gracefully swaying, wind-swept tree form has already established its canopy. This excellent mother plant is exceptionally prolific, blooming reliably each year.
