【Vintage BOSTON Ranger 55】
Patented and manufactured starting in the 1950s,
this pencil sharpener was produced by the American Hunt Company.
It features a six-hole disc design to accommodate various pencil sizes.
The lever on the rotating handle allows for three graphite point settings.
Its refined aesthetic, combined with robust metal construction and solid craftsmanship,
makes it a favored choice among designers and artists.
Boston pencil sharpeners were consistently manufactured in the USA
until the early 2000s when they were acquired by X-Acto.
Following this, the Ranger 55 production line was moved to China.
The manufacturing quality and materials used
can no longer compare to the original products from that era.
This is a pre-owned writing instrument manufactured in the USA in 1985.
As an item approximately 40 years old, some minor imperfections are to be expected.
