Introduction to using cowhide｜ ◆Plant leather This term generally refers to leather treated with natural agents, resulting in a softer color and more pronounced pores. Compared to chemically treated leather, it also has a lighter cowhide odor. Its characteristic is that it develops a glossier color with use, completely different from its initial appearance. This transformation process is also known as leather conditioning. Leather products that change color with use are highly sought after by some consumers. Vegetarian leather is also graded. The more greasier and less scarred it is, the higher the price. High-quality vegetarian leather comes mostly from Europe, where most Rama leather also comes from, with a smaller portion coming from South America. Cowhide leather will have some scarring, just like human skin. Scarring is more noticeable when treated with natural agents. Please be reasonable about these scars. Of course, Lama leather has reduced scarring by over 90%. ◆Maintenance methods - If used continuously, no additional maintenance is required. If not used for a long time, it will easily become moldy in Taiwan's humid weather. Please store it in a dry and ventilated environment or in a moisture-proof box. If it gets wet, please avoid placing it in the sun or using a hair dryer. Leather that is dried quickly will become hard and brittle. Simply place it in the shade to dry. If it gets wet accidentally, there will be obvious water marks. Other considerations｜ • The thickness of the leather does not represent the quality, the leather is processed by splitting • Handmade items are not perfect, perfectionists should think twice before buying • Vegetarian leather is soft and easily scratched.
