Vase

This table vase bowl was wheel thrown from my small rooftop studio where I am now writing this description. I look out at the Yamingshan mountains and draw in a breath. This vase was made from local Taiwanese clay and then a traditional Japanese shino glaze was applied. All my glazes are food-safe. I also dusted wood ash over sections of the vase which resulted in the ash melting and turning into its own glaze. I attempted to make a unique vase. I faceted the vase to create some interest and handling pleasure. I make pottery to hopefully add pleasure to someone's daily life.
