Description / Plesiosaurs are a group of marine reptiles that adapted to life in shallow waters, characterized by their large size and long necks. They first appeared in the Late Triassic period, spread throughout the world by the Jurassic, and became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous. They were rulers of the seas, dominating the Mesozoic oceans alongside ichthyosaurs. A plesiosaur's appearance resembles a snake passing through a turtle's shell: a small head, a long neck, a turtle-like body, and a short tail. Despite the relatively small head, their mouths were large, filled with numerous long, slender, conical teeth, and they preyed on fish. The Japanese anime and game "Pokémon" features a creature that was one of the inspirations for this design. Dinosaurs symbolize immense power and also grant us unrestricted imagination.
