Clouds drift silently, illuminated by a golden full moon. These chopstick rests are modeled upon the “floating world” or Ukiyo-e art of Japan, and will add an element of grace to any table. Each chopstick in this set has been carved from natural Beechwood by craftsmen in the town of Wakasa, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The octagonal shape reflects the Japanese reverence for the auspicious number 8, for on its side resembles the universal symbol for eternity. Chopsticks ・Please wash with hot or cold water after every use, and dry with a soft cloth. ・Please keep out of direct sunlight, as this may cause changes in the color and / or shape. ・Although these chopsticks have been sealed with a thin urethane coating, please refrain from soaking these chopsticks in water for prolonged periods of time. As well, do not scrub or polish these chopsticks with a scrubbing brush.
