If the leather becomes heavily saturated with water, dry it as soon as possible and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry naturally can cause the leather fibers to shrink, harden, and deform. 2. To avoid dark water stains when water droplets occur: gently wipe the entire affected leather surface with a pure water wet wipe, a damp (but not dripping) tissue, or a paper towel. Use cool air to dry evenly. If only hot air is available, maintain a distance of at least 30cm from the leather. After drying, apply leather oil for conditioning. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 4. In addition to the natural warmth and oils from your hands gradually giving the leather a gentle luster, we recommend regular polishing with a dry cloth followed by leather oil application. 5. Mold spots on leather develop from dust meeting humidity in the air. For items not in use long-term, first wipe away dust with a dry cloth, then wrap the item in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (you can cut up an old white t-shirt) and store in a well-ventilated area. Frequent handling of the leather item (to prevent dust and moisture accumulation) can also reduce the chance of mold, much like the principle of a rolling stone gathering no moss. 6. Avoid using cleaning products containing alcohol. **About Natural Leather:** We make an effort to avoid visible scars from insect bites or other marks that occur during the cow's growth. Additionally, each piece of leather will have natural grain patterns. These imprints of their life's journey are what make each product uniquely yours.
