Tree Sparrow
In Hong Kong, sparrows are practically our neighbours.
However, elsewhere, encountering them isn't quite so common.
I recall when I was living in Hualien,
the birds nearby might have been Japanese White-eyes,
and I encountered fewer sparrows.
Currently, due to urban or environmental pollution issues,
the mortality rate of sparrows is on the rise.
Sparrows are also decreasing worldwide.
I wonder if, in time,
sparrows too will fade into history.
