This is a single earring featuring dazzling iridescent Roman glass, lush aquamarine, amethyst, quartz, Herkimer diamonds, and a tribal bell.
Roman glass dates back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE).
These are fragments of ancient vessels, polished and drilled.
Iridescence occurs when glass is buried underground for extended periods, causing a chemical reaction between the glass and soil components, resulting in a sparkling luster. Not all glass buried for long periods develops this iridescence; it only appears under a specific confluence of conditions.
This is exceptionally beautiful Roman glass, showcasing a brilliant sheen from every angle!
(Roman Glass Size: 2.2 cm height, 1.4 cm width)
Cut aquamarine, amethyst, and quartz are clustered like ripe fruit.
The clear beads are double-terminated Herkimer diamonds, sandwiched between 18k gold-plated Karen silver.
The small, antique-colored bell is a component from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of ornaments and also an old item.
It does not produce sound.
This single earring offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the magnificent glow of iridescence.
