German Walnut Handle Bronze Letter Opener The blade itself is crafted as a single piece, featuring the UCHATIUS BRONE hallmark. Walnut wood pieces are used to secure the handle on both sides. The wooden pieces are solid walnut, not composite or dyed wood, as shown in the last image (which happens to be a damaged one that I've carefully exposed). Two copper rivets secure the wood on each side of the handle. Because the blade is a single-piece construction, the handle's back reveals the golden-bronze hue, creating a beautiful interplay of black and gold tones.
