Blessings of the Nile - Glasses - Glass Blue

Product Description

Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs are engraved on Japanese cased glass. The dark orange and blue cased glass is reminiscent of a sunset, and the hieroglyphs are engraved on the sides. The carving on the side of the glass shows the age of the piece, and there are cracks, chips, spots, and unevenness where the color has peeled off. The bottom of the vase is carved with the image of a falcon. The motif of this piece is based on the papyrus scrolls (Book of the Dead) that were buried with the dead in ancient Egypt. Although they are mainly used as glasses, they can also be used as light ornaments by placing them near a window or other place where light shines through, or as lamp holders with LED lights, etc. inside. As shown in the last image, the glass has a lapis lazuli layer with some shading (the orange layer also has some shading). It is not possible to specify the color trend. If you send us a message when you place your order, we will try to select a color that meets your expectations to some extent, but please understand that we may not always be able to meet your expectations. Point Cased glass refers to glass that is layered with different colored glass. Usually, cased glass is made up of two layers of transparent and colored glass, but this is a rare example with a two-color structure of lapis lazuli and orange (orange). Since the pattern is designed only by engraving, there is no color fading due to washing or aging. ■Specifications Size [W82 (top) x H85mm]*Some variation may occur due to the manufacturing process. ■Caution Each piece has a different expression because it is handmade. There may be color shading, bubbles, and mottling, but these are specifications of the glass manufacturing process. They do not affect the use of the product. When washing, please avoid using a dishwasher or other high-temperature machine, and use a soft sponge to gently rinse with water. The size may vary slightly due to the manufacturing process of the glass material. The brightness of the product images may have been corrected to improve legibility.
