1855 British Publishing Centennial Walter Scott Commemorative Edition Rare and complete collection of 48 works (with 3 storage wooden boxes)
Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832), the founder of historical novels in European and American literature, is one of the most representative figures in European and American literature, such as some well-known writers in Europe from the 18th to 19th centuries Hugo, the author of Les Misérables in France, Jane Austen, the author of Pride and Prejudice in England, and Emily Bronte, the author of Wuthering Heights, have all been inspired by his literature. He used his profound historical knowledge and literary literacy to create novels based on history, making history no longer boring. Established a model of European Romanticism. The episodes and titles are as follows:
1 and 2. Waverley, 3 and 4. Guy Mannering, 5 and 6. The Antiquary, 7 and 8. Rob Roy, 9 and 10. Old Mortality, 11 and 12. Heart of Mid-Lothian, 13 and 14. Bride of Lammermoor, 15. A Legend of Montrose, 16 and 17. Ivanhoe, 18 and 19. The Monastery, 20 and 21. The Abbot, 22 and 23. Kenilworth, 24 and 25. The Pirate, 26 and 27. The Fortunes of Nigel , 28, 29 and 30. Peveril of the Peak , 31 and 32. Quentin Durward , 33 and 34. St. Ronan's Well , 35 and 36. Redgauntlet , 37. The Betrothed , 38. The Talisman , 39 and 40. Woodstock
41. The Highland Widow, Two Drovers, Etc. , 42 and 43. Fair Maid of Perth, 44 and 45. Anne of Geierstein , 46 and 47. Count Robert of Paris , 48. Castle Dangerous, and The Surgeon's Daughter
This is a very rare and complete set of Walter Scott's works, with as many as 48 copies. This should belong to the commemorative edition, because his book cover has a portrait relief of Walter Scott on the cover, and a relief of Edinburgh Castle on the back (he was born in Edinburgh). The set of books looks spectacular from a distance, but classical from a close look. The entire book cover is covered with exquisite reliefs, and each book has 2 very detailed prints. This set of books has been 168 years old. It is rare to have no missing parts, and it is even rarer. But the book is still complete, not fragmented.
I specially found three large, medium and small wooden boxes, just enough to put all 48 books in. These three boxes will be attached as a gift. They are not connected together, so you can place them arbitrarily according to your needs.
It can be placed on the desk or on the floor like me, it is a beautiful and classic book wall.
#Rare and complete A large number of 168-year-old ancient books, the collection value is extremely high.
size:
17.8*11.5cm each
The wall of books like me is about 67.5x61.5x18cm (freely disassembled, stored and moved)

#If you don't want the box, you can get a discount of 500. Tell me in private message, and I will adjust the price.

It can still be read normally, but the centuries-old books inevitably have historical traces, and those who can accept it are buying.
