Acquired from an overseas collector.
The collector stated it is from the Edo period (1603-1867 AD, early 17th-19th century).
This corresponds to the late Ming to mid-Qing Dynasty periods in China.
Five-pronged vajras from the Edo period generally date back 150-420 years.
Having handled artifacts for many years, I prefer to conservatively estimate its age.
I place it in the 19th century.
A religious artifact with a century of history is a more fitting description.
This vajra has a crack on the central prong.
Total length is 11.3 cm.
Made of brass alloy.
Hand-carved and finished.
A ritual implement with clear signs of age.
Accompanied by a detachable cord featuring an ancient bead with a vajra motif from West Asia, and two Burmese mantra beads from the 18th-19th century.
The vajra can be attached to a belt or bag, making it convenient for daily carry.

Regarding the energetic resonance of ritual implements, I personally do not possess such sensitivities.
Whether it be ancient Tibetan Purba or Vajra, or Japanese Esoteric Buddhist single, triple, or five-pronged vajras, I have never felt anything.
However, when I acquired a large collection of Tibetan vajras this year, I also obtained a few Japanese ones.
One evening, while handling a single-pronged vajra, I placed it under my pillow before sleeping.
Unexpectedly, I dreamt of a fire ritual, smelling the scent of burning pine resin.
As I often burn broken amber and beeswax prayer beads for friends in recent years, allowing them to learn the scent of genuine amber and beeswax when burned...
In my dream, I specifically focused on smelling it... three times consecutively...
This confirmed in my dream that it was indeed the scent of burning pine resin or beeswax...
Upon waking at dawn, after more than 30 years of touching countless ritual implements without any sensation, I experienced a dream-induced resonance from this single-pronged vajra.
A fellow artifact dealer from the south once remarked, "The spiritual power of Japanese practitioners surpasses that of Tibetans. Do not underestimate Japanese ritual implements..."
On December 7, 2024, a Taoist brother who has long practiced spiritual cultivation and meditation visited.
After sensing the energy of several ritual implements I possess, both Tibetan (11th-18th century) and Japanese old vajras...
Upon holding them, he could not stop yawning, finding it impossible to cease, exclaiming that the energy was immensely powerful.
He then looked at me with disbelief.
He asked if I felt nothing when touching these implements.
After sensing them, he took photos to show his master.
Then, after I explained the age and acquisition price of each artifact, he sheepishly requested to acquire three Japanese Esoteric Buddhist ritual implements (single, triple, and five-pronged vajras) from me the next morning.
He noted that the energy fields sensed from Japanese and Tibetan ritual implements were almost equally powerful, but their prices differed dramatically.
This is akin to the price difference between Tibetan Dzi beads and West Asian beads.
He must have calculated that Japanese ritual implements would be more affordable...
On December 19, 2024, he specially traveled north to meet me and reported that the evening he brought the Japanese ritual implements home, he placed two of them by his bedside.
That night, he dreamt of two divine dragons, one large and one small, appearing within the vajras.
Having practiced sensing techniques for many years, he was truly surprised and delighted.

On December 18, 2024, I made an offering to Master Ugyen Khenpo at the dharma center.
I inquired if there were any practices in Tibetan Buddhism involving the triple-pronged vajra.
The Master stated that it is only utilized by lay yogis for contemplation, a meditative practice where the triple-pronged vajra is visualized in the mouth.
In actual practice, the physical ritual implement is not used.
