White Tea Lidded Container: For Small Items, Dishes, and Acorn-Inspired Design

This is a round, wide-lidded container crafted from fine-grained white clay, allowing the glaze colors to truly stand out. Inspired by acorns, the lid is finished with a dark brown glaze, while the body features a subtle, matte off-white glaze. As the clay and glaze used are the same as those for tableware, it can be used as a container for small items, a confectionery dish, or even for serving food. When used as a container for small items, you might store sewing threads and buttons, leftover ribbons, or perhaps brooches and rings. As a confectionery dish, it's perfect for your favorite hard candies, individually wrapped baked goods, or chocolates. For serving dishes, it's ideal for carefully presenting and savoring dishes like simmered turnip and shrimp, or an-kake tofu. You can enjoy it in various ways. All stages of production, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done entirely by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. The plump, rounded form, soft texture, and a slight heft convey the essence of pottery. While mass production is not possible, each piece has its own unique character, offering the distinct charm of handmade craftsmanship. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. To minimize scratching your table, the base will be sanded smooth before delivery. I create a variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, constantly exploring the best combinations of glazes and clays. Each piece is unique, seemingly similar but truly one-of-a-kind. Therefore, I generally apply a water-sealing treatment to all pottery before it is delivered to you. Pots that have undergone water-sealing treatment do not require a "mezome" (water-soaking) process at home. After receiving your item, a light wash is all that's needed before use. Items already treated will be shipped within 3 days.
