Commissioned for CHAT’s renewed display ‘Textile for Food’, the set of illustrations by Hong Kong-based animation artist Lee Yuk Ki Florence vividly convey the many facets of the local food culture, leaving poetic footprints on endearing sceneries in the city. Collaborating with local beeswax wrap maker Ingreenity, the wrap set is a product that is truly made in Hong Kong with local food grade beeswax. About the Artist Lee Yuk Ki Florence is an animation and illustration artist based in Hong Kong. After graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, she co-founded No Reason Studio with Di Wu. Her creative practices include animation art, moving image, visual poetry and visual communication design. Her works explore the extraordinary in the ordinary, often expressing her emotional, aesthetic and poetic responses to different places. Beeswax Wrap Set Variations: Set 1: Tofu Shop (Orange) and Dai Pai Dong (Green) Set 2: Cha Chaan Tang (Yellow) & Fong Tai Film Studio (Blue) ------------------------------------------------------------ CHAT Originals are thoughtfully designed products which are often produced in-house or in collaboration with prominent international artists and local collaborators.
