A house, unfamiliar and solitary, stands upon a vast, boundless landscape. What kind of building is it? What sort of people reside there… We have transformed memories of landscapes from distant, faraway lands, visited during our travels, into a brooch using the art of wood inlay. Wood inlay is a technique where pieces of wood with different natural hues are fitted together like a puzzle to create shapes and images. Some of the black dots and lines are rendered by gently scorching the wood. No artificial coloring has been used; the natural colors of the wood are preserved. Each piece is crafted with care, accentuating the unique grain of every wood used. Adorn your attire as a statement accent, or attach it to a hat or a simple bag… When hung on a wall, it transforms into a charming piece of art.
